Offer your darling a massage, but save the left hand for last. Once she’s completely relaxed, head down and eyes closed, go for the left hand. Being massaging it gently and then slip the ring on her finger. Start your speech and pop the question, she’ll look down and, “how’d that get there?” She never saw it coming…

Plan a romantic picnic on the beach. Pack a basket with champagne, her favorite cheeses and hors d’oeuvres, a comfy blanket, perhaps a small shovel, oh, and don’t’ forget the ring! Put the ring in your pocket, grab the shovel, and tell her that she’s not allowed to look at your ‘sand drawing’ yet, because you want it to be just right before she sees it. Spell out in big letters, “Marry me?” Tell her it’s okay for her to turn around now, get down on one knee, and let her read your secret message (make sure that it’s legible!).
As an alternative, if it’s winter, you can do something similar. In this case, get a water bottle and fill it up with water and pinkish-red food coloring, this time, use the colored water to write it out in the snow.

Does your sweetheart love a good cup of coffee? If so, try this. Find a pottery place or an art store nearby where you can make your own mug. It may be a good idea to keep the outside design of the mug relatively simple, but in the very bottom of the cup, paint the words “Marry me.” Take your girl to her favorite coffee shop (or find a really cool new one and insist the two of you try it out). But, beforehand, talk to a manager or barista that will be working the shift at the time that you will be there, show them a picture of her, and tell them the time you’ll be coming in. Ask them to deliver her coffee in the special mug. Sip and wait, when she has a surprised look on her face, that’s when you’ll know it’s time to get down on one knee.
It would be purrfect if you said yes right meow.
What better way than to combine a proposal with the furry fluffy cuteness of a kitten? (Or a puppy, we won’t be biased). If you already have a pet, you can always ask for their help, but if your lover has really been wanting a kitten or a puppy, even better. Just loop the ring through the collar of your furry friend and hand the cutie over to her. Who could say no to that face?
X marks the spot!
Send your sweetie on a treasure hunt, or scavenger hunt, whatever you prefer to call it. Make the stops on the way places that are sentimental or significant to her and your relationship. To make it even more perfect, have one of the stops be at a salon, where she can get her nails done, and/or her hair and makeup. This way, when she gets to the final destination, where the treasure is (the ring), have a photographer hiding and ready to capture the moment, and she’ll be picture perfect. We promise you’ll get points for this one.

With smart phones galore and apps for days, making short films has never been easier. Come up with a cute storyline and a creative way to incorporate your relationship into it. Use significant or sentimental places for the filming, or even try doing a short preview/remake of one of her favorite love films. You can either play this at home when you’re about to Netflix and chill, or when you’re hanging out with the family about to watch a classic. Even more exciting, ask your local movie theatre if they would allow you to play the film on the big screen before the previews of a movie. Not only is this creative and cute, but she’ll have the short film and memory forever.
